Joy Brooke Fairfield is a Ph.D. student in Drama at Stanford University and has undergraduate and master’s degrees in Performance Studies from Harvard and NYU respectively. She researches intimacy and spectatorship and has presented at academic conferences on sex-positive cultural practices like Cuddle Parties™ and the amateur porn festival HUMP™. She has an article published in Transgressive Tales: Reading Queer and Trans in Traditional Fairytales and was a co-host of the sex-positive talk show “SexLife Live.”
